Jellystone Designs have regular independent toxicity testing - these tests also confirm that Jellystone Products comply with European Standard EN 71 part 3, migration of certain elements and the equivalent specifications to the Australian Standard for Toy Safety, AS NZS ISO 8124.1-2010.

QUESTION: Can I give the necklace to my child?

Answer: No - Jellystone Designs Necklace range is for mums to wear only.


QUESTION: Can I give the Bangles to my child?

Answer: Yes – All our bangles comply with Australian Teether standards and can be given to a child under 3 independently.


QUESTION: Can I give Jellystone Juniors to my child?

Answer: Jellystone juniors range is designed for children 3ys + to wear. Jellystone Juniors range is not suitable for children under 3 yrs.


QUESTION: Is Jellystone silicone non toxic?

Answer: Yes, we use FDA (Federal Drug Administration) approved silicone. Silicone is odourless and tasteless and most importantly silicone will not support the growth of mould or bacteria.


QUESTION: What are the jewellery pieces made of?

Answer: Food Safe Silicone - the same silicone used in silicone cookware and many teethers on the market.


QUESTION: Are Jellystone Designs products suitable for my child with special needs? Including but not limited to - Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and the Autism Spectrum.

Answer: Although not originally designed for this purpose the children’s line of products (from feedback from parents) has provided some relief for children with sensory needs.


QUESTION: How is Jellystone different to other jewellery products?

Asnwer: We offer a variety of products for all ages and stages… mothers and non mothers alike, kids, tweens and all in betweens. Made from fun, practical and colourful BPA free, non toxic silicone.


QUESTION: How much pressure the clasp can hold before it pops open?

Answer: From our own testing the necklace clasp under tension opens at approximately 4.5LB, pendant clasp has an approximate opening point at 3.2 LB.


QUESTION: How do I care for my Jellystone Designs jewellery?

Answer: We recommend hand washing all of our products before use. To maintain the cleanliness of your jellystones, simply wash in warm soapy water, wipe with a wet wipe or if you would like to put it in the dishwasher please remove pendants and/or beads from cord first.


QUESTION: Is it safe to remove the pendants form the cord?

Answer: We advise that with children under 3 years of age that the pendant remains attached to cord, and it to be worn by parents at all times.


QUESTION: How do I adjust the cord?

Answer: Simply cut to desired length (allowing for 1.5cm extra for knot) and re-thread clasp and knot cord.


QUESTION: How long does will my Jellystone Designs last?

Answer: For continuous use as a chewing/sucking substitute, we recommend to discard after 6 months, or if any irregularities occur.


QUESTION: Where is Jellystone Designs made?

Answer: All our pieces are designed in Australia and manufactured in our socially responsible Chinese factory. Jellystone Design products are made in China because currently, there are no producers of silicone Jewellery in Australia. Jellystone are a small business, but one day we hope to be able to produce our Jewellery here in Australia. In the meantime, their factory in China was selected as it meets our ethical standards for employment and human rights.


PLEASE NOTE

Due to vast range of needs and the diversity of the spectrum these products may not be suitable for all children. Use your own discretion and follow these guidelines:

• Jewellery pieces are not indestructible and therefore will need to be monitored and replaced if damaged
• The timeframe in which this occurs will be faster with more aggressive chewers
• Children with fully developed teeth or aggressive biters may be able to damage Jellystone Designs, therefore adult supervision is advised at all times
